..........I'm not very familiar with foxpro, but I'm a lightening learner. Just give me step by step, and please don't get impatient with me if I ask questions about seemingly simple things.

No problem. You will probably have to be patient with me also, as I will have to ask a lot of questions too!

#1 In the memo field.... what information is in there other than the order number and how is the order number distinguished. Does it say... order number12345 etc. Is the number always in the same place in the field or is it in different places?

#2 Are there various number of dups per order number? Is that unknown?
