Beware of this: If you are planning to use out-of-process COM components within PWS, I think you might be out of luck with Win98. PWS on Win98 does not support the creation of out-of-process COM components. See the KB article:

Q193809 - Personal Web Server and Out Of Process Components

Microsoft has disabled this feature and has not documented how to enable it in the PWS Metabase. However, older versions of PWS _did_ support out-of-process instantiation, and I know of users of older versions of PWS who upgraded to Win98 from Win95, and the appropriate setting in the PWS Metabase was preserved so that the feature would still work for them!!!

There is a metabase entry called AspAllowOutOfProcComponents. If you can figure out how to set it to TRUE, then things should work. I finally gave up trying with Win98.

>>>How do I install personal IIS on my win98 machine? (win2k is not state approved, winnt4 does not support my dvd drive)
>>>I need it to install VisualWebBuilder which I bought in NOLA

>>Go Into Windows Setup (in the control panel under add/remove programs), You will find it under "internet tools".
