I've got a LAN and ADSL link here - I often just leave a browser window pointed at UT on my 2K box (in fact, the login page for UT is set up as Active Content on my desktop) with a (moderately) fast and constant connection to the net is convenient.

There honestly isn't much to it - declare the API call and some constants, get the hWnd of the ActiveX Control and go play. It's not rocket science and most of the time the detonations from screwing up are harmless.
