MOST - meaning that if you go hunting for dangerous things toi do with the SendMessage() API, you can do them. If you want to send a keystroke to a control, that's safe as long as the control knows what to do with it. There are other things that can be done with Windows Messaging, like shutting down apps, or Windows, that have consequences, just like firing up a DOS prompt is mostly safe, but if you want to shoot yourself in the head by issuing FORMAT C: through it...
