Well, for me I cover this problem in the Report step "when I create the report I group the duplicated data" this using Informix, SQLBase database, I think it will work with Access.
>I have an Access '97 application which holds business information i,e, names, addresses and business descriptions (i.e. type of business) of various kinds. Some businesses have one description, others have two. When users run a query they obviously get two lines where there is more than one description associated to a business.

>Is there a way of combining the descriptions (seperated by a comma or something in the same field of the query?). I have tried to get round it by using the "first" and "last" option but obviously if there is only one description it prints the same thing twice - can I ask this not to show if the same as first? It doesn't seem to work.
