Haha, sounds good. You know, I would suggest that you try this *every* weekend. There is certainly nothing wrong with spending time on the UT, but a balanced life is very important. The weekend is a time for family and friends for me. Life passes by so quickly, I don't want to have regrets about not spending enough time with people with whom I am close. Or should have been close...

Take care,

Joe

>Well, I did it this weekend -- I went from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon without logging into the UT.
>
>Last week I logged in several times, looked at a few messages, and just left, without much of a desire to communicate or contribute.
>I've been heavily immersed in two major projects for the past few weeks, and didn't realize just how burned-out I was until I headed down to my Alabama home for a weekend alone.
>
>I took the laptop along, but didn't fire it up at all, because I was so busy lately that I forgot to pay the telephone bill -- no internet access. Friday evening I just sat and stared at the walls for a couple of hours, read a book into the wee hours of the morning, and then slept till noon Saturday.
>
>All the while I had regular urges to log on and see what's happening, but alas, no access -- and then the urge would pass. By Saturday evening, I was relaxed and enjoying a visit with a cousin that I had not seen in 15 years.
>
>I walked the property several times, made plans for yard work and fixup of the old place, checked out an adjoining lot and fixer-up house available for next to nothing, spent four hours with an old friend, gazed at the stars for awhile, and just generally chilled out.
>
>Now I'm back home in Atlanta, relaxed and refreshed, and ready to reconnect with the community. I highly recommend that you all just get away from it all -- ASAP. You may need it more than you realize!
