At my last job we accessed some (older) version of SQL-server from FPD2.6.

What was necessary was the "FoxPro Connectivity Kit," sold separately, which was a library with the SQLConnect and SQLExec, etc. These are now included in VFP6.

I don't know what was available for FPD2.5, and whether you can still purchase it.
