I read that google uses an algorithm which evaluates the number of links pointing to a web site. So the result of your query is in the order of "web popularity". Since - from my experiance - people tend to prefer the top most links of search results, this would increase the popularity of sites that have it anyway - which might result in even more links to this side.

That means: google is a search engine which not only watches the web, but it changes the web in some undemocratic manner. Though I am using google quite often, this strange thought sometimes comes into my mind and makes me feel like better not to use it at all...
