I have an application (FPW 2.6) attempting to update several linked Excel charts into general fields so they can become part of a report. I scan the table which contains the list of charts and general field and issue an APPEND GENERAL for each one. I have a DDE channel open to the chart so that the user does not get the 'Update Links' dialoge.

I keep getting errors along the way which say "An error occurred ... possibly because of low memory". If I take a look at resource usage, things seem fine (I'm working on a Pentium 133 with 32mb RAM). This is not consistently happening on the same charts or at the same times, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. This error will even, at times, cause Excel to crash (GPF, then close), leaving FoxPro hanging.
If this is a memory problem, any tips on how to improve my chances of completing the whole process? Any tips at all on how to incorporate Excel charts into a FoxPro report?
