If you want you can send me the form and tables(if they are local). I would need to see the methods that are loading your grid and combo otherwise I would just be speculating. One thing you might try is to SET FILTER TO after the grid is loaded to remove the filter for that datasession when you are not using it. The other thing to check is to make absolutely sure you aren't using the same temporary cursor name to load 2 different controls with data.
