Hi David,

Thank you for the response...I checked out his website and downloaded an example prg that he had there.

Within this sample prg the word document is created and then displayed. I am wondering if it is possible to have the end user create the document and insert a "tag" or something ie <> where ever they would want data to be inserted from records and then save the document.

Then I would have another program that would pull up this document and then scan through the records and fill in the data and then print the document.

Am I way off base here or maybe I am missing something. I did also check out your word 97 contants but I am not sure how that plays into this.
