I was having a problem with creating a new child when a new parent was created in a cbizobjmaintenance form. I was getting a 1547 error. I has using the presavehook of the child to set the foreign key of the child record, but the presavehook is apparently not being checked during a new child on new parent situation. I moved the foreign key update code to the prerequeryhook of the child biz obj and the 1547 problem went away and the child record was created. I don't know if this is a special undocumented feature of the new child on new parent scenerio or ???

Thanks to Cathi for her response to move my thinking in a different direction which enabled me to find the problem.
