I wouldn't expect one. The mag was not the one making the comment and therefore, not responsible for the comment. I also contacted Jeff and received an answer that said it was basically an offhand remark.
Instead of working on brow beating him into submission, let's try and change his mind - the sneaky way. Someone needs to write an article for VBPJ that shows some interaction between VB and Fox. As part of the article it should state the MS position of Fox as a mid-tier component and also emphasize that it is appropriate for small-medium DB apps. This is a good time because if he was open to a Fox article, it would be now.
OK, I usually follow the rule of don't ask unless you're willing to do it yourself, but I don't have the time for about three months (just cancelled my vacation). Is there someone who would be interested in writing this article? Maybe a West-Wind developer?
