>I've *suddenly* lost the ability to run compiled EXE's on my development machine and VFP6R.DLL and VFP6RENU.DLL are still both in my C:\WINNTt\SYSTEM32 folder. Any idea what might have *suddenly* caused this? (It worked last night and this morning, not.) Better, any ideas about what to do to fix it?

It may be a pathing issue. To test this, copy the run-time libraries into the same directory as your EXE and try to run it. Make sure to set up the Start In path of the shortcut or go to the CMD prompt and change directory to that directory.
If that works look at the path you have set up.
