I am trying to find out how to turn off ItemTips / ToolTips on a treeview control ( MSComctl32.ocx, VFP 6.0 ). Those are displayed on each node if a node text is partially obscured ( like if there is a horizontal scrollbar on the bottom of the treeview ). Ironically sometimes tooltips displayed are shorter that the visible part of the node text. Shortening the text is not an option. Form.ShowTips has no effect. Windows Explorer behaves the same way...

Does anyone know of a way to turn those tooltips off?
