>Any words of wisdom for reinstalling Visual Studio 6? The VFP-created Setup install didn't make my problem go away and reinstalling VFP SP3 didn't do anything either. I'm concerned if I reinstall, the setup will see the files it's trying to install already in place and skip over them when I really might want to have them replaced (with one of the same date and version). I was thinking to uninstall first then reinstall. What would you do if you were in this situation? (Aw, just pretend.)

I reinstall everything all the time. When you install as much new, experimental, or beta software as I do, you have to live with the fact that your dev system is gonna get hosed. Bite the bullet and go for it. My system gets a completely clean sweep (install OS from scratch) about every four months. Just keep all of your stuff that can't be reinstalled (source code, data, personal files) all in easy to find places, back them up, and let her rip.
