Hi,

I am using SPT calls to a Sybase server via ODBC. The call is bring back large amounts of data to a local table for storage and thus takes a long time (about 30 minutes). This all works OK and the fact that the query takes 30 minutes is not a problem.
However, whilst the query is executing, NT4 (workstation) seems to hang and does not allow other applications to start up, if you look in task manager, VFP is shown as "not responding".
Is there anyway to prevent this, should I try using Asynchronous calls ?
