You can put what you want to do in the mousemove event of all the objects.
This way you get the event firing when the object the mouse pointer is over
changes.
You could maybe save the object name in some variable on the last part of
the mousemove event so that you can check if the object names differ with
the next object. You should only change the contents of the variable when
the object names differ.
