Yes, PB/Sybase is still the basic IT office app tool/DB. Outside of IT, we can do what we want if we produce good results. Most of the PB/Sybase apps developed here don't work very well, very slow & buggy. But I wouldn't lay all the blame on PB/Sybase, the IT office has a bunch of bureaucratic idiots in charge :) It takes 3 months to get a new EXE tested & approved for one little bug fix up there. I do the same thing in about 5 minutes. Plus, they have trouble hiring & retaining decent PB people, a chronic problem...

Oracle's a good secure job area, I understand, pretty good product, AFAIK?
