I am planning on going to the German DevCon this year, on the strong recommendations of Mssr. Booth. :-)

>In each track there are usually 4 German and 1 English session. IOW, you don't have as many choices, but you can be in English sessions all day long. And since there are way less English speaking attendees than on a US DevCon, you can easily get into contact with all the VFP gurus/speakers and spend an evening at the bar with them :)

>The cost is really about the same. The registration fee is two-third of it, the flight isn't that much more expensive. Additionally, the dollar is very strong at the moment, and I can't see why this should change significantly until November. IOW, Germany is about 25% cheaper for you today than it was 2 years ago. It's probably more a psychology barrier that prevents your company to pay for a conference in Europe. *s*

>Lemme see, a cheap flight from Kansas City (is that near you?) to Frankfurt is about $400, the registration is about $725 and the hotel about $120 each night. For a 9 day stay this makes a little more than $2200 including free beer during one night. *g* And you would have been to Europe once albeit in Winter.
