From what he said, there were more than enough conferences there in English to make it worthwhile. I'd like to see the company pay for me to go to Europe!

You might want to look at the Great Lakes Great Database Workshop, also known as Whilfest. It's going on the first week of November in Milwaukee. It's less expensive than DevCon and will have many of the same speakers and topics...as well as some things that you've never seen at a DevCon. More info at
