USE whatever the view name is
INDEX ON expn TAG TagName

You may need to change the buffering mode during the INDEX operation depending on what buffer mode is in use when you initially open the view. Views do not inherit the tags of gthe underlying base tables; they are inherently unindexed recordsets, and you have to build any indexes you might want at runtime. If the results of views are small, you may be able to use LOCATE to find records with acceptable speed within the view, and simply create the view with the desired sort order in the CREATE SQL VIEW statement.
