Ed,

>I have three problems:
>First, when I index a table (which is part of a database) with a simple phd command (in the command window) =phd("Index mMemoField") I receive an error "Unrecognized phrase/key word" and VFP closes my table.

I have the same error when long names for directories or files are used and especially spaces are not allowed. I played with the names for a while and it seems OK when free table name doesn't exceed 11 characters and directories might longer than that but without spaces. It is a known bug for 3.61

>Second, I have three phd searches in a row in a short program, after each search I browse the resulting cursor table. The first search returns a cursor with the correct amout of hits but the memo field I return is empty, for example I have 23 hits do the browse and see 23 empty memo fields. (This could be related to the original index error)?

Most likely. I guess we should expect normal indexing termination

>I am using PHDBase 361. I have tried emailing Jim Korenthal and I receive no answer. If anyone can help or if Jim monitors the forum I'd love to hear any and all suggestions.

It is a real problem with this product. I started to experience successive reindexing problems ( several tables are reindexed one by one ) with phdbase.v50 on different platforms. It results in GPF and my workarounds based on guessing other than on technical support.
For instance something like "close all" issued between two reindexing causes GPF. =phd("flush" ) after reindexing seems to help on one platform but results in GPF on other.

Regards
Michael
