One way to do this is to use code to write the report to a file, for example using @SAY or TEXTMERGE, and then send the file to the printer. I've created some pretty intricate reports this way, including multiple detail bands and form templates (boxes, lines, and PCL commands) all rolled into one file. You might also want to investigate Crystal Reports - I've heard that it can do multiple detail bands, but I don't use it and don't know for sure if this is true. Maybe someone who uses CR will comment here.
