The report designer and what they did sucks. They must have had their reasons, but I don't get it from working with the final product.

There's a setting in the object 53 record of the report.FRX which you can open just like a dbf file by using the full name with frx file extension.

There's also fields called tag and tag2 that have to be cleaned out.

In the #53 record you'll find a list of all the printer settings that was saved.
You must remove the printer name, but keep what's left. I just wrote a
routine that does this procedure automatically for all my FRX files and I
run it before building.

I used to wipe all the #53 info on printers out but found that I need to keep everything except the name of the printer. Found that out when I went to
do some landscape printing just as your trying.

Bad thing is that whatever printer you create the FRX form on, the thing keeps that and when your program tries to print on another kind of printer, it all screwed up. So, you have to wipe out any printer identification.

There's a .H header file that you can read and it will give you the numeric values that are set in this file. So, you can just do them yourself.
