This sounds like VFP still has a handle on the file when you try to edit it in VFP. Does this problem still persist if you CLOSE ALL and RELEASE ALL? What happens if you quit VFP, re-launch and then MODI COMM?

After I've browsed one of my HTML files in IE5 I then try to MODI COMM the file and keep getting a 'File access is denied' message. I exit the Browser and still get the same problem. No one else has the file open and I have all the correct NT privileges. When I try and edit the file in anything other than FoxPro it edits fine, but trying to edit through VFP6.0 or FPW2.6 doesn't work. After waiting a couple of minutes or so the file can be edited in FoxPro. I'm not an NT4 expert and can't figure out why this is happening. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
