>>>As far as PocketPC vs. Palm... Palm OS seems to be advancing way faster than WindowsCE as are the list available downloads/add-ons. More options always means better product IMHO.

>>If we are talking 3rd party software and hardware add-ons, Palm wins easily. But CE is a far superior OS, it includes things like multi-tasking. Being able a access MS Office documents transparently (via Pocket Word, etc) is a big plus for CE.

Good point. It depends on how you use a PDA. As a PIM or as a computer.

>I had two different WindowsCE-based PDA's at a former job well over a year before deciding I had to have a Palm. I was nowhere near as happy & productive with those PDA's like I am with my Palm. Plus for PIM, I think the Palm's simplistic UI is very streamlined and suits it functionality well. Last time I seen WindowsCE in action, it was too much like regular windows OS and made the PDA need a lot more clicks & picks to move around between utilities & apps. IOW I think the Palm OS is more intuitive for a handheld device as opposed to a Windows environment simulation. Just my US$.02 worth though :)

I have heard this about CE as well. Palm must have had some wicked focus groups when doing their usability testing.
