That article appeared in our local paper yesterday. It's something people need to stop and ponder. Too many in this country take our freedom for granted. I was thinking this morning about how many people have been killed just because of their ideas (Jesus Christ comes to mind for one). While our country isn't perfect, at least you can express your thoughts on most subjects without being pummeled, stoned or murdered. Having said that, I realize there is always the need to stand up for peoples right to believe what they will and that there are assaults on that right daily. As an agent of the government, I try to constantly remind myself that people have the freedom to express themselves so long as it doesn't step on someone else's rights.
