I just tried this.

I made a table MyTable and in the field MyField was :
"C:\My Docuemnts\My Pictures\MyPicture.bmp" (quotes included in the table for filename with spaces.)

I added a Picture/ActiveX bound control to the report. Choose clip, scale, etc. as appropriate.

In report control I chose Picture from File, and named the file:

EVAL(MyTable.MyField)

and it worked. EVAL was the important part.


>In a report I have two choices for printing a picture. 1) I can select the file name to always use, ex. temppic.jpg or 2) I can use a field name from a database table, ex. tempfile.temppic. The temppic field has to be of type gen and the picture is then stored in the database. Is there a way to use a field name as the location of the picture? ex. tempfile.temppic=c:\pics\pic1.jpg, to allow me to store the location of the picture in one place and point to it with a field name to keep the table slim.
