I noticed a program to read dbf files from VB at www.planet-source-code.com/vb but the conversion to Access may be problematic.

You may be better off finding someone with access that will import the dbf file for you and send you the mdb. If you can not find anyone locally I will be happy to do it for you. Or if you know someone with Data Junction... it could convert the file for you.
