You need to refresh the fields after changing their values.

Try:

thisform.text1.value = thisform.grid1.column1.text1.value
ThisForm.Text1.Refresh()
thisform.text2.value = thisform.grid1.column2.text1.value
ThisForm.Text2.Refresh()
