>Erik- thanks but the resource file is off in the config.fpw file. I changed the code in the menu program to use the run command and I still get the same results. I should mention this happens on only 1 machine in the office and that machine has Win95b on it. However, another machine with the same basic configuration works fine. Since we are about to send this out to hundreds of users this is a worrisome thing. When the called app is activated the screen flashes and then the icon appears on the task bar. Using alt-tab does not activate the app window but clicking on the task bar icon does. I cause a menu to drop down from the menu bar when the app is started. Sometimes this menu will appear on top of the original menu application but without the menu bar. It is active but if a choice is made the window opens behind the menu application. I do some stuff in the app startup to keep the _screen invisible until some housekeeping is done so it appears to snap up but thats about it.
Well, you could adjust the code in the app being called to set the _SCREEN' windowstate (or the Top-Level form, if that's what you use).
