The Back button isn't controllable via Cache and IE and Netscape behave very different with this. IE there's no way to disable the Back button from caching unless you're submitting a form and you expire the content (using FORCE RELOAD as the header parameter). I've seen 'This page has expired' in IE before, but this appears to work correctly only if you do it in SSL pages, not regular pages.

The best approach is to build a user interface that's very clear so that hte user never has a need to click on teh Back button. And if they do, to have error code that can detect if a page was clicked on again (resubmittted).
