>In attempt to copy a class from one library to another library (FAQ #7562), the class was in the wrong place (in the new library) so I tried moving it but with no success. Then I just removed it. When I went back to the original library, I noticed the class that I tried copying over is now gone. Egad! How can I restore it?!

Make a copy of the VCX and the VCT files. Open the VCX as a table [use myclass.vcx], SET DELETED OFF, BROWSE. Look for a series of deleted records, and look in the memo fields to see if you are at the correct class. Undelete the records needed to restore the class.

Close the table, then open the VCX in the class browser to check your handiwork. If all goes wrong, use the copies to go back to where the class was before and try again. Or you can go back and USE the vcx, redelete the records and try again.
