Just because it's a DOS application doesn't mean the installation has to be done by a batch file. One of the intended needs the Windows Script Host addresses is the need for a method to do the same sort of thing that a batch file does in the Windows Environment. The WSH can create the desired shortcuts and do the installation for you without the need for a batch. In fact, I recently did some conversions of DOS batch files into VBScript. If you like I'll post a snippet that will basically show you how this can be done.
