Yes I wonder why Microsoft made VFP difficult to pass more then 1 variables with the return command. When I used to program in C it was easy to pass many variables back and forth between Subroutines. Although it’s probably like second nature for most of you guys VFP that is. I'm converting a program that was written in dbase and was not y2k ready. When I started this project I didn't have a clue about VFP I had a little access background, and some Unix C about 5 years ago. The way I learn is,” just do it” type of thing. If it takes me 2 days trying to figure out how to do 1 thing I just keep going. It has been a real help to post questions up here on this site I would have never been able to tackle this thing. I’m about 75% of the way now, and I can’t believe its really working. I know the first revision will be rough. In the next revision I will get rid of the global variables and some scatter gather commands. I wasn’t able to find many books on VFP, and the ones that I have seen are not really good. I picked up “ Building VFP 5 applications” by Barrie Sosinsky. I haven’t learned much from that book. He doesn’t really use a building method of learning he just jumps around through out the chapters. I'm hoping to learn VFP good enough to find some consulting jobs, or small projects.

Thanks for the help

Kelly
