Thanks for the suggestion. What I was able to see is that the form is completely built and then for some reason it's destroyed and unloaded.
The error happens after the form's unload(). It has a line:
return this.uRetVal && uRetVal = .f.
and that seems to throw doform() off because it's expecting an object as a return value.
I'm going to re-do the whole 43&$#^$#q*^&$# form from scratch and test it as I progress. In the meantime, I'm not going to get rid of the one causing the problem so if you or anyone else feels inclined to help me track this problem down, we can do it.
