Thanks, but I was too quick to claim victory! I made some changes and then try to rebuild it again and... you know the rest of the history.
But I found a workaround. I deleted the project, then opened foxpro 2.6 dos, created a new project, rebuilt it, then I went to 2.6 windows and rebuilt all, and apparently that worked and now I am able to rebuild the project from windows (at least twice so far, let's see what happens later)
