I forgot where I read this, but it went something like this: When you start out as an independent consultant, most of the time your first job will come from a friend.

That's how I started.


>I was curious what people's thoughts on the best way to get into VFP consulting? I had a friend ask me how I got started, but in my case it just kind of landed in my lap and went by word of mouth from there. He's a great VFP programmer, but is unsure where to start when it comes to clients. I didn't really know what to tell him so I figured the knowledgable people from UT would have some better suggestions. Any idea/comments would be appreciated. :)
