This doesn't sound like a VFP error. Most ActiveX control vendors add a license file when you install their control. When the object is added to a form in design mode, the ActiveX control checks to see if the license file is in the path. If not, it assumes one of the following:
1. You have installed the control incorrectly.
2. You are trying to develop with a control that you did not purchase and don't have the license file for.
It is only in develeopment mode that this occurs. The control will work perfectly at run-time.
Try re-installing the ActiveX control. If that doesn't take of it (and you did purchase the control), call the vendor and ask to have them. Perhaps the license file has to go into s specific directory (like SYSTEM32).
