Good thinking. I live in the Scientology Captial of the World, Clearwater, FL. I drive right past their world headquarters every time I go into the office.

I know some celebrities like Chick Corea and Edgar Winters are members. My brother is a professional drummer and he had to play a gig with Edgar Winters at their world headquarters in Clearwater a couple of years ago.

They are building a huge new headquarters that is supposed to be joined by an over the street catwalk to their old hotel headquarters in downtown Clearwater. I never paid much attention to them so I don't have an opinion of them one way or the other, but they do appear to be like robots walking from building to building in downtown Clearwater. I know some politicians in Clearwater have been trying to run them out of town since they first started buying property in downtown, but to no avail. I think Scientologists own nearly half of the buildings in downtown Clearwater at this point. They just keep growing and growing and growing.

I live in the burbs so I could care less what happens to downtown Clearwater it has seen better days. Just had to put in my three cents since it struck so close to home. LOL!
