I have a DBC with about 25 tables of which 7 are parents and the rest are various children. I have cascading updates set on all parents because I am allowing change in the key field to make a conversion from a character key to a GUID key.

It is working perfectly for all but 2 of the children. One parent with 4 children updates 3 children properly and one does not change. The other is a parent with 2 children and one is properly updated. I have checked the RI code and found reference to the tables that are getting skipped and cannot figure what could cause the problem.

I have checked the size and type of the parent key and the child foreign key and they are the same. Indexes are set correctly also.

Does anyone have a clue?
