Title:
SEEK or SELECT - SQL
I have a program that processes through 1,000's of records in a table and then gathers information from other tables.
If I want to find out if a record (just 1) exists on one of the other tables, should I issue a SELECT statement or use SEEK to search the table - I've always preferred the SELECT - does anyone have any input on this subject? - I have speed in mind here.
Thanks in advance
Kev
