First let me say,
I feel yore pain.I am using Outlook 2000 here. Our e-mail system is Lotus Notes v5.0x. After
properly [and I use that term loosley WRT Notes], I fired up Outlook [Notes was not open]. In Outlook, I clicked on Tools/Services. I added a new service, and selected Lotus Notes. Outlook found my Notes ID file, the path to the mail server and my e-mail name.
Now, when I launch Outlook, I do get a prompt for my Notes password. Once entered, I can then process all my Notes mail, send replies etc. The only problem I have is to remember to manually click the Send/Receive button before I close Outlook in case enough time has not lapsed for the Outlook timer to fire this process for me [about every 10 minutes]. Of course, looking at the Outbox to see if any items are still pending before exiting would be too easy. :)
Unfortunately, I can not get Outlook to provide the password to Notes as well.
One other
note, I do have the Notes ODBC drivers installed on my computer as well. I am not sure this makes any difference, but it might because the password prompt form looks just like the form I get in VFP when I remotely connect to Notes.
