After you create your views, you can use DBSetProp('fieldname', 'field', 'datatype', 'I') to change the field's data type and length as needed.

I keep a PRG of all the code needed to create my views. I modify the code as I need. I can then block a section of code, right-click and execute the block of code to modify any view.

I get this first cut of code for the PRG by running the GENDBC program provided with VFP -- DO Home() + 'tools\gendbc\gendbc' [with 'output_filename']
