I don't understand the problem because you can still use DBSetProp to increase the length of the field created in the view just as I suggested. Now, if you go back and modify the view in the VD, this property will revert back. Each time you modify the view, you will have to run DBSetProp to change the field length back to what you want. We are talking about a VFP remote view, right?
