The only way for this to happen if the first window opens it with buffereing is if you have a cursorsetprop() somewhere. Open each form and do a search.

If that fails, open the debug window and add cursorgetprop("Buffering","myAlias") in the Watch window and add a break point. If it changes, you'll know when and be able to examine the code doing it.
