Larry,

The outside custom object gets instantiated by the form's container object. The outside object then is a Menu manager. It manages and coordinates an Outlook Bar menu across multiple forms. So if the user drops an Icon shortcut onto the Outlook Bar the menu manager control can then instantly update all of the other forms that contain the same Outlook Bar control so they stay coordinated.
