No just put the dll in your ..windows\system directory, then open foxpro goto tools / options / controls
make sure "active x controls " is checked
then just click "add" find the dll, then you must make sure that your setup program copies the file to the ..windows\system directory

last but not least make sure to do a "regsvr32 gif89.dll" from the command prompt on end users PC, there is a way to do it programicly
