>Has anyone used the MSComm Control in a Visual FoxPro form to receive data from a scale via the comm port. When I add the comm control to form there are a number of ole errors in the properties. Any suggestions???????? Thanks.

Greg,

I have tried to use the MSComm before and could not. Other programmers here gave me advice but nothing could make it work. Finally, I found an ActiveX that works great. http://www.jspayne.com/io/home.html
You add it to your form and can call different things to and from the serial ports very well. I use it to control a micro-adustable slide for manufacturing extrusions.
